The Green Valley claim is located in the peaceful valley,
approximately 0.50 miles from the West Boundary line
of Custer State Park, Black Hill, South Dakota. From the
town of Custer, you go East about 6 miles on Stockade
Lake Road, and turn right on County Road 87. You
drive approximately 3 miles and turn right on Hazelrodt
Campground Rd. Another 1.5 miles and turn Left on CR
342. The claim is located about 0.10 miles on your left.
You find a unpaved parking area right before you cross
the French Creek. The claim is located on both sides of
the road. Use GPS coordinate (

PROSPECTS:

This claim is an exceptionally nice mining property for
gold prospector who prefer to work in or near easy,
shallow water. It is a good  for 2 to 4 inches suction
dredges or portable high-banker-dredge combinations.

This claim includes some riffles in shallow water that
should be productive for gold dredges. There are some
gravel bars and excellent river diversity zone* create
fantastic potential for high-banking, shallow dredging,
sluicing and metal detecting.  There are some Very nice
natural riffles in the creek which makes this a really
excellent dredging and high-banking claim! There are
numerous gold flakes visible in the pools or slow current
stretch area. It is also  excellent for panning gold!!! In
addition,  there are so many other following attractive
characteristics, which tend to trap gold deposit;

* There is huge pool right underneath the cliff area
(look at picture).

* The stream curves and flows into a large pool which is
an excellent for dredging or panning.

*There are also shallow gravel bars in the inner-curve
zone.

NOTE: gold, being heavy metal, tends to travel the
edge of the inner curve to next edge of the inner curve,
called “gold path”.



Even though this claims is excellent for serious miners,
it is a very nice quiet, peaceful and secluded area
where one could just relax and enjoy surrounding
nature, or beginners could get started in a mining
environment that is not too difficult. Definitely it is a
good place where you could take your family or love
one with. Your family could enjoy panning all day.  It is
also a fairly good fly fishing stream for a small or
medium size rainbow trout. This property provides
enough camping room, for either a tent or RV. There
are several campgrounds nearby for those who prefer
to stay at the campground with a shower and electric.
Keep in mind that it is generally very hard to reserve a
public or private campsite in Custer State Park area
during  busy seasons, such as Memorial weekend or
4th July weekend unless you book several months in
advance.
